Reminders for the Fall

How about that temperature when you woke up this morning? San Antonio hit a low of 59 today, which is a new record low.

Saying that, summer isn’t going anywhere – at least for a bit. We’re still going to regularly hit highs in the mid-90s for a while. But another cool front is headed this way, so that’s a good sign of things to come.

It’s a good thing to use these cooler temperatures as a reminder to get your AC and heating system ready for the fall.

There are two things to do. First, start thinking about scheduling an AC tune-up. This will make sure your HVAC system is ready for the cooler weather. Second, you can scale back just a bit on changing out your filters. During the peak summer months, Champion AC always advises you to change your filter at least once a month. During off months, however, you can change that filter once every 2-3 months. We do recommend checking the filter every month, though, just to make sure it’s still clean.
